Nusenda Credit Union named Best Credit Union for eleventh consecutive year

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 29, 2024) — Nusenda Credit Union has been named by Albuquerque Journal readers  as Best Credit Union for the eleventh consecutive year. Nusenda has won the best credit union  category since the awards began 11 years ago.  

“We know that our knowledgeable and friendly staff are the drivers of the credit union’s  success. They care deeply about our members and actively serve the needs of their communities,” said Nusenda President and CEO Joe Christian. “Nusenda is honored by the  continued recognition from Journal readers and looks forward to continuing to provide  exceptional service to our more than 260,000 members across New Mexico and El Paso, Texas.” 

Nusenda prioritizes the financial well-being of its members in a number of ways, including  money management and financial education resources, higher savings rates, lower loan rates,  and cash back rewards each year. In 2023, Nusenda distributed more than $8.6 million in Earn  Your Return bonus dividends and Community Rewards to qualifying members. Nusenda strives  to make our communities better places to live and work through impactful initiatives.  

The Nusenda Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2015 to support and expand the credit  union’s philanthropic efforts and community outreach, donated over $1.9 million to our  communities last year through grants, school partnerships, and sponsorships. Nusenda  employees also demonstrated dedication to their community last year by volunteering over  5,300 hours, donating thousands of coats for kids and collecting over 1,500 toys for UNM  Children’s Hospital and Jardin de los Niños.
