Nymeo Federal Credit Union packs the park for charity
FREDERICK, MD (September 4, 2014) — Nymeo Federal Credit Union, the largest Frederick-based credit union, in cooperation with the Frederick Keys, sponsored Pack the Park for Charity at Harry Grove Stadium on August 8, 2014. For every ticket sold through Nymeo, the credit union donated the proceeds to the Maryland Food Bank, providing financial support to the Frederick School Pantry Program. Nymeo sold 218 tickets and will be donating $2,000.00 as a result of this event.
In addition to Pack the Park for Charity, Nymeo continues to partner with the Maryland Food Bank in an effort to end childhood hunger in Frederick County, MD with its $wipe out Hunger program. The credit union donates ½ cent per debit card swipe on every point of sale transaction made by its Credit Union’s members. Since the inception of the program in April, $2,793 has been donated.
Nymeo continues to play an important role in supporting children and greater Frederick County through sponsorships and programs. While the needs may not always be obvious and visible, the credit union recognizes there are many opportunities to support the local community including children at risk because they are food insecure.
