OMNI Community Credit Union welcomes new Chief Digital Officer
BATTLE CREEK, MI (December 14, 2022) — Scott Johnston has joined OMNI Community Credit Union as the new Chief Digital Officer (CDO).
As CDO, Scott leads all cross-collaborative digital projects in keeping with OMNI’s strategic objectives. He is also responsible for driving digital transformation to ensure the credit union increases operational efficiency. He’s looking forward to diving in more deeply and working to improve all things digital as OMNI continues to expand throughout Michigan.
“My goal is to refocus OMNI’s digital strategy to leverage technologies and features, and to enable a rich and comprehensive experience for current and future members,” he stated. “Our goal isn’t to offer every available service, but rather to provide the features our membership needs and wants.”

Scott brings over 40 years of experience in financial tech. He comes to OMNI after an 18-year career at Member Driven Technologies, a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) that specializes in providing technology solutions to credit unions. He served as EVP and COO at MDT, and is honored to have been part of building the CUSO to be one the best providers of technology solutions in the U.S.
Scott enjoys spending much of his free time making memories with his wife, daughter, three grandchildren, and two English bulldogs. As a huge car and truck enthusiast, Scott loves to spend his spare time rebuilding cars his shop.
