Oregon State Credit Union announces promotions in business services

CORVALLIS, OR (January 5, 2021) — Oregon State Credit Union has promoted Josh Whisenhunt to senior vice president Financial Services, and Kim Carson to director of Business Services. Previously, Whisenhunt was director of Business Services and Carson was assistant director of Business Services.

The announcement was made Jan. 4 by credit union President/CEO Rick Hein. “Oregon State Credit Union has a history of promoting from within,” Hein said. “Developing our work force and creating opportunities for people to advance their careers with us is good for the staff and good for the future of the credit union. It’s one of the reasons this is a great place to work.”

Whisenhunt has been with Oregon State Credit Union since February 2006, first as a Business Services specialist then rising through the ranks to become director of Business Services. He has worked in the financial services industry since 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University. Whisenhunt lives in Corvallis. He is active in youth sports and is the president of the Raider Youth Wrestling Club.

Carson has worked in the financial services industry for 17 years, joining Oregon State Credit Union in 2015 as a credit analyst in Business Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Boise State University and lives in Corvallis. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Corvallis and serves on the board of directors for the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce.
