PA Credit Union Foundation names Kathleen Fey Executive Director

HARRISBURG, PA (January 6, 2015) -- The Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation has named Kathleen Mangan Fey as its new Executive Director. Fey has spent much of her career in non-profit management and resource development, including 10 years as the CEO of Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania and two and a half years as CEO of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.

‘We are pleased to welcome Kathleen to our team,” said Pennsylvania Credit Union Association President & CEO Patrick Conway. “Kathleen brings a wealth of experience to the position that will enable us to continue to advance the Foundation,” said Conway.

A native of Scranton, Fey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Misericordia University and a certification in Health/Human Service Administration from the University of Scranton.

The Foundation was formed in March 1996 following the Oklahoma City bombing and has grown to assist grantees not only during worldwide disasters, but to promote financial literacy and small credit union development in Pennsylvania. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $3.6 million dollars and has issued 543 grants totaling $2.4 million dollars.

The Harrisburg-based Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is a trade association that provides legislative, promotional, educational and operational support for credit unions in Pennsylvania.  The more than 500 credit unions headquartered in Pennsylvania have assets in excess of $38 billion and serve more than 3.8 million members.
