Patty Corkery named as CEO of CU Solutions Group effective July 1, 2024 – to succeed Dave Adams

LANSING, MI (December 20, 2023) — The Boards of Directors of the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) and majority-owned CUSO, CU Solutions Group (CUSG), are pleased to jointly announce the appointment of Patty Corkery to lead CUSG effective July 1, 2024. Corkery will lead both the MCUL and CUSG under a joint management structure.

Since May of 2021, Corkery has served as CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League as well as sitting as a board member on the CUSG 12-person Board of Directors.

In addition to her 25 years of credit union industry experience as an attorney with Holzman Corkery (now Holzman Law) and with MCUL, Corkery serves as Chairwoman of League Infosight, as board member for American Association of Credit Union Leagues and the Credit Union House on Capitol Hill, in addition to numerous other committees. She has a law degree from Wayne State University Law School and an MBA from Walsh College.

In a joint statement by MCUL Chair Dean Trudeau and CUSG Chair Jackie Buchanan, the boards expressed their excitement for Corkery’s appointment saying, “We couldn’t be happier about both CUSG and MCUL being led by Patty. She is a passionate and skilled leader who is ready for the great opportunities that lie ahead. Returning to our heritage of shared leadership for our companies will also build on the decades of success that we have enjoyed at MCUL & Affiliates under that very structure.”

Corkery will succeed Dave Adams, who led MCUL for 24 years and CUSG for almost 27 years upon his retirement. Adams had continued as CEO of CUSG under a temporary independent management structure since May 2021, which now returns to joint leadership on July 1, 2024.

Adams praised Corkery by saying, “Patty’s unique leadership traits include a strong business education and acumen, having been actively involved in the leadership of CUSG since 2018 in addition to her association role. Our team members, and other stakeholders, are in good hands.”

“I am truly honored to be asked to serve as the next CEO of CUSG and to continue leading our Michigan league,” said Corkery. “I thank the Board of Directors for having confidence and faith in me. For years, under the leadership of Dave, along with an amazing team, CUSG has been a leader in marketing, technology and performance solutions. I look forward to working with our team and clients to bring CUSG to the next level. I am passionate about this industry where I have spent my entire career, and I am excited to lead our investors and clients on this next journey.”
