PenFed Digital earns 7 Emmy Awards for docuseries highlighting promising PTSD treatment

The series raises awareness of the life-changing Stellate Ganglion Block procedure’s high success rate among veterans and first responders with PTSD Ace, PenFed Digital team member and future America’s VetDogs service dog, proudly displays the team’s Emmy Awards earned for a docuseries highlighting a promising treatment for PTSD.

SAN ANTONIO, VA (June 30, 2021)PenFed Credit Union, the nation’s second-largest federal credit union, today announced it earned seven Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honoring the best in the television industry. The award-winning five-part series, “The Shot” was produced by PenFed Digital, the digital division of PenFed Credit Union, and follows three patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and their experience before and after receiving the promising Stellate Ganglion Block treatment. The series is shared across PenFed social media platforms.

“PenFed is proud to tell the stories of the extraordinary members of our community and to inspire and help others through the sharing of our digital content,” said PenFed Senior Executive Vice President and President of Affiliated Businesses, Shashi Vohra. “The Digital Team had to be creative and innovative to produce engaging content amid the challenges of the pandemic over the last year, and it is incredibly rewarding to see their hard work and this meaningful story recognized.”

The team has collectively earned over 40 Emmy Awards for their outstanding work producing broadcast and digital content.
