PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes expands veteran entrepreneur program to San Antonio for 2026

Free accelerator program provides networking and mentorship for veteran and military spouse-founded companies

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 17, 2025) |

The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans in their transition from service to success in civilian life, announced today at San Antonio StartUp Week that the Veteran Entrepreneur Program will expand to San Antonio in 2026. The accelerator program will take place the week of September 14-18, with four days of in-person programming designed to equip veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs with the tools to grow their network and scale their businesses.

“We are thrilled to be expanding the Veteran Entrepreneur Program to the vibrant city of San Antonio,” said Terry Williams, Program Director for the PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes. “San Antonio has one of the largest veteran populations in the country, and we can’t wait to support local heroes in their business ventures. We operate our second largest corporate office in San Antonio, and we are proud to expand our presence here in the local community.”

Bringing the program to San Antonio marks a major milestone in expanding the Foundation’s national reach and impact. Since 2018, the Veteran Entrepreneur Program has helped over 120 veteran and military spouse founders grow and scale their businesses through mentorship, media training, and access to capital, with previous cohorts in Bentonville, Arkansas and Tysons, Virginia. The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes covers all costs and takes no equity in participating companies.
