The Penn State Alumni Association and PSECU, Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, proudly announce a 10-year partnership recognizing PSECU as The Official Credit Card and The Official Financial Services Provider of the Penn State Alumni Association. Effective April 1, the agreement unlocks an array of benefits for Alumni Association members, including eligibility for membership within the credit union and access to its high-quality products and services.
“We at the Penn State Alumni Association are very excited to begin a new chapter in our member benefit offerings with such a partner as PSECU,” stated Penn State Alumni Association CEO Paul J. Clifford. “As the largest alumni association in the country, our 174,000 members have very high expectations for the services we bring to them. The ‘customer first’ approach, and excellent products and services PSECU provides, align very well with our mission. We are delighted to partner with another Pennsylvania-based organization to bring our alumni and members the quality services that Penn Staters deserve.”
Upon official launch of the joint program, anticipated for summer 2019, Alumni Association members will be able to benefit from PSECU’s cooperative, “people helping people” model. As a credit union, PSECU is able to offer competitive financial services to the over 174,000 members of the Alumni Association. In addition, all new members of the Alumni Association are qualified to become members of PSECU and will be able to benefit from PSECU’s long-standing reputation of helping members save money.
“This relationship is really about two highly respected Pennsylvania membership organizations coming together to provide outstanding value to the members we serve,” said PSECU President Greg Smith. “When PSECU’s founders started the credit union 85 years ago, they did it with the intention that pooled resources would be used for members’ collective benefit. In all we do today, we aim to uphold that principle by offering the best banking value and service possible to help our more than 450,000 members keep their money where it belongs—with them. We’re extremely proud to partner with the Penn State Alumni Association to broaden our reach and extend PSECU membership to their members.”
Penn State alumni will receive communications from the Alumni Association and PSECU with details about the program in the months to come. The nearly 700,000 graduates and friends of the world-renowned public research university interested in being the first to know when the program launches are encouraged to complete the dedicated information request form on the Alumni Association’s website.
“We look forward to welcoming Penn State Alumni Association members to PSECU and to serving them as their trusted financial partner,” added Smith.
