Piedmont Advantage Credit Union awards five members come first scholarships

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (June 24, 2014) — Piedmont Advantage Credit Union announced the five winners of their new Members Come First Scholarship, a $1,000 academic scholarship awarded to college-bound high school seniors.

The Members Come First scholarship winners are Dayna Creasy, Josh Eller, Andrew Hamby, Taylor Hill, and Solana Tellado. These five seniors were selected from Piedmont Advantage Credit Union member applicants across the country for their academic and personal excellence, as well as their commitment to considering their financial futures as demonstrated in a short essay.

In his essay, Andrew Hamby noted “I am pleased to have ‘grown up’ with PACU where I am not merely a customer, but a member.”

“Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is invested in the future of our Credit Union and the Communities which we support, including our youth membership” said Judy Tharp, the Chief Executive Officer. “Our new ‘Members Come First’ scholarship rewards academic achievement while encouraging them to focus on their financial futures.”

Piedmont Advantage would like to congratulate their scholarship winners on their high school graduation and to wish them the best of luck in their college careers. At Piedmont Advantage, Members Come First!
