Piedmont Advantage Credit Union presents Members Come First Award
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (May 1, 2014) — Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is pleased to honor Sandy Milton as the 2013 winner of the inaugural Members Come First Award. The Members Come First Award is awarded to an employee who exemplifies the true spirit of Piedmont Advantage; an employee who embodies the Credit Unions philosophy to serve our members, always putting members first, and demonstrates a “Can do” attitude on a daily basis.
“There has never been a situation where I have heard Sandy say that something can’t be done,” said Belinda Wilson, Piedmont Advantage Vice President of Development. “She always has a Can-do attitude and even in a difficult situation finds a solution that will be a win-win for our employees and our members.”
Sandy works with front-line representatives and administrators as a resource in their interactions with members. She received the Members Come First Award in part because of her suggestions to improve processes to help save the credit union and members money to their bottom line. Sandy is the first point of contact for employees to learn what it means to Put Members First.
“If she doesn’t live and breathe that value,” Wilson added, “none of our employees will know the value either.”
Sandy also carries her experience beyond the credit union. She teaches a class at Forsyth Tech to ensure that the community has well-trained tellers educated about credit union benefits.
In years past, the Spirit of the Credit Union Award recognized the individual who best represented the Credit Union Spirit of People Helping People. This year it honored previous recipients and the award was updated to exemplify our Mission, Vision & Core Value of Putting Members First.
The winner was selected by a committee from across Piedmont Advantage Credit Union. Committee members this year included representatives from the Branches, the Call Center, Back Office and Senior Management, Human Resources as well as a previous award winner.
