Pioneer gives back to its members – 5 scholarship recipients are announced

CHARLESTON, WV (June 18, 2015) — Pioneer WV Federal Credit Union is very proud to announce that five (5) of their members have each been awarded $1,000 college scholarships.

“We take great pride in giving back to our membership and are very excited that we can be a part of furthering education for our members with our annual scholarship contest,” said Shannon Bradley, Member Experience Officer.

The 5 scholarship recipients are:

  • Megan Allen – will attend West Virginia West Virginia Wesleyan in Fall of 2015 as an Accounting Major
  • Madison Messinger – attends West Virginia Wesleyan as a Bio-Chem Major
  • Dylan Hatfield – will attend West Virginia West Virginia Wesleyan in Fall of 2015 as a Business Administration and Marketing Major
  • Cassidy Taylor – will attend Glenville State College in Fall of 2015 as a Health/Biology Major
  • CJ Oldham – attends University of Tennessee – as a Nuclear Engineering Major

CJ Oldham, recipient, recorded a special message after returning home from South Korea and Washington DD where he presented research findings in the nuclear forensics field, some of which were published in national trade magazines.  He submitted the recording to be played at the credit union’s 75th Annual Meeting thanking Pioneer, his credit union, “for all the support it has been able to supply him while pursuing his degree.”
