Point Breeze Credit Union donates $25,000 to the Carroll County Veterans Independence Project
HUNT VALLEY, MD (November 11, 2020) — Point Breeze Credit Union has made a $25,000 donation to the Carroll County Veterans Independence Project (CCVIP) to further the construction of an office space for a Veterans Services Center for displaced veterans.
Point Breeze Credit Union’s generous donation will help us continue our important mission to provide services to the approximately 10,000 veterans and family members living in Carroll County and nearby communities,” said Frank Valenti, President of the CCVIP Board of Directors. “Our goal is to have the Veterans Services Center open to the public in summer 2021.”
Once completed, the Veterans Services Center will provide a safe and secure community-based setting where veterans and their family members can find support and assistance toward transitioning into their communities. The center will also provide opportunities for job training and placement, mentorship, and socialization for veterans’ groups in Carroll County.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the Carroll County Veterans Independence Project in their effort to establish a place for veterans to gather and receive life-changing services,” said Michael Gallagher, Vice Chairman of Point Breeze Credit Union. “We have been deeply invested in CCVIP’s work in the community to support those who have served our country.”
