POPi/o Mobile Video Cloud spearheads branch transformation with dynamic video banking experience for in-branch deployment

Industry-first collaborative video banking platform unveils several technological advancements for more intimate in-branch call settings

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (February 21, 2020)POPio Mobile Video Cloud(POPi/o), the industry’s first interactive multichannel video banking solution, today announced its release of a dynamic video experience and refreshed user interface for in-branch deployments. The advancements help drive branch transformation through more personalized video call interactions and service opportunities, and will be demonstrated at the 2020 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), held February 23-27, 2020, in Washington, D.C.

“Video-enabled branches are an unrivaled asset of the modern branch strategy,” said POPi/o founder & CEO Gene Pranger, who created the concept of video banking with the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), and now POPi/o as the completion of that vision. “POPi/o’s new dynamic video positioning provides the most natural in-branch video interactions and turns branches into destinations for personalized service and expertise.”

POPi/o’s patented in-branch video experiences enable personalized interactions for consumers as they video chat with financial institution associates to complete loans and account consultations. The collaborative platform helps consumers securely share photo IDs and other financial documents, review loan applications, and approve and sign forms, allowing financial institutions to provide them with tailored financial solutions.

With the platform’s latest enhancements, financial institutions can now implement POPi/o with its refreshed app-like interface via single or dual monitors for more intimate and intuitive video call experiences. Single monitor deployment presents full-screen video that can slide to the side as needed to focus on collaboration content, while a dual screen setup continually presents the video agent with content appearing on a smaller touch screen. Both deployment models support touch-screen monitors, enabling on-screen signatures.

“POPi/o’s in-branch experiences finally allow small, low-traffic branches to become highly efficient and incredibly personal,” said POPi/o President Jed Taylor, who also lead the global expansion of video tellers. “Now serving more than 50 banks and credit unions—some hosting as many as 4,000 monthly video calls—POPi/o drives incredible value for financial institutions of all shapes and sizes, allowing a centralized workforce to reach more consumers on a deeper level and generate greater profitability at every branch.”

POPi/o’s latest release comes on the heels of securing its 7th patent, underlining the platform’s capacity for offline collaboration, through which customers can complete activities such as uploading documents and signing contracts without the use of a video agent after hours or when a task can be done without assistance. Another recently issued patent features POPi/o’s ability to monitor the emotions of video agents and consumers, compare the intersection of these emotions and provide real-time coaching to the video agents. Known as Positivity Coach, this industry-first application for emotive recognition is now available to POPi/o customers for free.
