Powered By Honor donates $500 to Great Lakes Recovery Centers Adolescent Service
NEGAUNEE, MI (June 3, 2015) — Powered By Honor is proud to support Great Lakes Recovery Centers Adolescent Service with a $500 donation. Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing treatment and prevention services for substance abuse and mental health disorders in the U.P. GLRC’s Adolescent Service Center provides residential treatment for adolescents between the ages of 12-17 and is the only facility of its kind in the entire U.P. Powered By Honor, Honor Credit Union’s community fund, presented the $500 donation to GLRC employees Paul Trdan, Marco Toledo, Teresa Piziali, and Matthew Croschere on May 22nd, 2015.
Great Lakes Recovery Centers Adolescent Service is the only center providing residential substance abuse and mental health treatment in the Upper Peninsula, serving the entire U.P. and parts of Lower Michigan and Wisconsin. GLRC serves dozens of adolescents every single month. GLRC operates through the generosity of the community and grants. Located at 104 Malton Road in Negaunee, GLRC is working together to make a difference in the local community by treating adolescents at the adolescent center and adults at the adult residential center in Marquette for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Powered By Honor’s $500 donation will supply the Adolescent Center with the means to purchase YMCA of Marquette County passes for the Youth Residential clients.
