SAINT JOSEPH, MI (September 2, 2014) -- The inaugural ‘Fore’ Your Community Golf Outing presented by Powered By Honor on Monday August 25th, 2014 was a huge success raising $6,434! One hundred percent of those proceeds benefit Powered By Honor, Honor Credit Union’s community fund. In turn, Powered By Honor reinvests these funds into local not for profit organizations, such as the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan, Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor, local food pantries, and many more.
Helping make Powered By Honor’s first golf outing a success were 80 golfers that came out to enjoy a beautiful day at Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club in Benton Harbor. Golf Pro Wayne Yamaguchi assisted the Powered By Honor volunteer board in the planning and organization of the ‘Fore’ Your Community Golf Outing. Through the generous support of the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club staff that all contributed to the impressive fundraising total of the ‘Fore’ Your Community Golf Outing, many more local not for profit organziations will continue to benefit from Powered By Honor’s community efforts.
