Premier Members Credit Union announces scholarship winners

Premier Members awards a total of $20,000 to support youth pursuing higher education

BOULDER, CO (May 29, 2015) — For nine members of Premier Members Credit Union, paying for their college education just got a little easier. Alise Nilsen, Andrew Teta, Danielle Wiechman, Mary Sykora, David Bonan, Mira Guha, Natalie Stucka, Morgan Brendefur and Katherine Johns were the 2015 recipients of the newly enhanced Colorado’s Premier Scholarship.

“With the newly expanded scholarship program, we are able to reward even more accomplished students with the scholarship,” said Carlos Pacheco, Premier Members Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited to support this year’s recipients with their higher education.”

This year marks the first for the increased scholarship amount. A recent merger between Premier Members Federal Credit Union and Boulder Valley Credit Union saw the combined scholarship increased from $14,500 to $20,000 and the number of students awarded from seven to nine.
