On Monday, June 27,2022, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union surprised grocery shoppers at Foodarama on Antoine with $100 gift cards to help with their shopping needs. Two lucky shoppers received up to $500 of their grocery bill paid. 100 shoppers in total were recipients of the gift cards.
“Rising food costs has put a strain on many Houstonians,” said Annette Zimmerman, President and CEO of PrimeWay. She also added, “We are proud to be a part of the community and want to help alleviate some of the shopping burden facing people now.”
This grocery giveaway is part of PrimeWay’s “Live Positively” campaign which highlights ways the credit union can help people live a positive life. PrimeWay has also eliminated Overdraft Fees to help lessen the financial strain on its members.
“Planning this grocery giveaway was a positive experience for the credit union employees. We may have another surprise for the community later this summer,” Zimmerman teased.
