PSECU named Forbes magazine Best-In-State Credit Union for third year

Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, PSECU, was named a Forbes Best-In-State Credit Union for the third consecutive year.

HARRISBURG, PA (July 15, 2021) — Forbes Magazine recently released its list of Best-In-State Credit Unions for 2021, honoring the top 3.6% of credit unions nationwide. PSECU, Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, is proud to announce that it was included as one of just five credit unions on the list for the state.

“At PSECU, we strive to be our members’ trusted financial partner. In all we do, we want to help them achieve more – through our low- or no-fee products and services as well as our competitive loan rates and our digital-first banking model that gives them anytime, anywhere access. We also support our members and their communities by providing charitable donations and free financial wellness resources,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “It’s an incredible honor to be recognized on this national list of top credit unions for the third time in a row. That means we continue to meet – and exceed – our members’ expectations of what they’re looking for in a banking relationship.”

According to Forbes, “Members-only credit unions typically have lower fees and offer better interest rates than traditional banks, and the not-for-profit model also puts the customer first, resulting in higher levels of satisfaction. But to get to the bottom of whose customers have the highest opinion of them, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to produce our fourth annual look at the Best Credit Unions In Each State.”

To create the list, Forbes and partner Statista surveyed 25,000 people in the U.S. about their banking relationships. The consumers were asked survey questions about their financial dealings with banks and credit unions rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five subdimensions (trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice.) National financial institutions with branches in at least 15 states were excluded from the final rankings.

Of the nation’s more than 5,068 credit unions, less than 200 were included by the publication as Best-In-State Credit Unions for 2021.

“Congratulations to all of the credit unions from across the country who were recognized on the Best-In-State list, especially the four other credit unions from Pennsylvania – Police and Fire Federal Credit Union, Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Citadel Federal Credit Union, and American Heritage Federal Credit Union. Thank you for all you do to help serve your members and communities,” added Rudolph.
