PSECU welcomes new General Counsel, Vice President of Legal Services to executive leadership team

HARRISBURG, PA (November 4, 2019) — On December 9, Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, PSECU, will welcome Francis J. Pudner, Esquire, as the newest member of its executive leadership team. Bringing with him more than 18 years of legal experience in the financial services field, Pudner will serve as PSECU’s General Counsel and Vice President, Legal Services.

“With a keen understanding of the banking industry’s legal environment, Francis Pudner will be a great asset in PSECU’s efforts to be recognized as our members’ trusted financial partner,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “In his role as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Services, Francis will guide his staff in their reviews of legal, regulatory, and compliance concerns that impact the organization and its members. In doing so, he’ll help strengthen our ability to safeguard our members’ assets while providing them with the leading products and services they expect from a great institution like PSECU.”

Pudner most recently served as Senior Counsel for the PNC Financial Services Group where he was the lead attorney supporting the management of a $10 billion loan portfolio and advised PNC’s fintech subsidiary. In this role, he also served on numerous internal committees including those for regulatory risk, repurchase risk management, and loss mitigation. He was a founding member of the Legal Department’s Diversity and Inclusion Council and was a member of PNC’s Pro Bono Committee. His past experience includes serving as Senior Attorney and Vice President for National City Bank, as Senior Counsel for Dollar Bank, and as an Associate Attorney, focusing on commercial and corporate finance and securities, for Thompson Hine LLP. Prior to law school, he served as a Senior Collections Specialist at Capital One Financial Corporation.

A Juris Doctor from The University of Pennsylvania Law School, Pudner also holds an MBA from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Pudner is a former chairperson of the Banking and Financial Services Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and has been admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Washington, D.C.

“Francis’s extensive knowledge of financial law, coupled with his experience working for consumer-focused institutions, will be of great value to PSECU as we strive to best serve our more than 450,000 members as Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union,” added Rudolph.
