Public Service Credit Union thinks pink and provides a $3,500 check to support The Pink Fund

ROMULUS, MI (December 3, 2020) — It has not been an easy year for many of us, but for some the devastation of a cancer diagnosis was a reality faced in 2020. The Pink Fund is a breast cancer charity and nonprofit financial assistance fund that provides cost-of-living expenses to breast cancer patients. Now more than ever it is important to uplift those who are struggling and support an organization who assist the ones in need.

Public Service Credit Union has continuously supported The Pink Fund, and this year was no different. PSCU Cares bracelets and bandannas were available to members for a $5 donation. All funds collected went to The Pink Fund to help meet basic needs of these breast cancer patients.

In addition, the staff collected funds with their annual Pink Out the Branch event. Every employee has an opportunity to dress in jeans and wear pink on each Wednesday throughout the month of October. It is an event that is looked forward to by all the PSCU staff.“I believe we have the most caring staff of any financial institution around,” said Nadine Hohnke, Marketing Manager at Public Service Credit Union. “and it shows when we have an opportunity to do something for our community.”
