Purdue Federal Credit Union updates two high school debit card designs

Purdue Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce the launch of newly designed Visa® Debit Cards for Lafayette Jefferson and Harrison High Schools. These innovative card designs are now available and feature the iconic Bronco and Raider logos that represent the pride and spirit of each school.

In an initiative to engage students and celebrate their creativity, Purdue Federal held design contests inviting students to submit their ideas for the new debit cards. After a public vote, the winning designs stood out for their originality and school pride. Ellianna Lingley, a student at Harrison High School, and Jaxon Vigus from Lafayette Jefferson High School were selected as the winners.

"We are incredibly proud of the talent and school spirit displayed by all of the students at both schools," said Molly Milcarek, Community Relations Specialist at Purdue Federal Credit Union. "This project not only highlights their creativity, but also strengthens our ongoing relationship with our partner high schools."

The new card designs are part of a broader collaboration between Purdue Federal Credit Union and local high schools, aimed at fostering community engagement and financial literacy among students. The debit cards not only serve as functional financial tools, but also as symbols of school unity and pride.

The new Lafayette Jefferson and Harrison High School Visa Debit Cards are available for issue now and community members and current cardholders are encouraged to visit their nearest branch or contact Purdue Federal Credit Union to learn more about acquiring the new designs. Through the end of the year when students aged 14 to 18 open a new student checking account, they can get a free t-shirt to match their new debit card, and we will donate $20 to their school1.
