Redwood Credit Union cuts ribbon for new Sonoma branch

Expanded Location Hosts 250 for Grand Opening Celebration

SONOMA, CA (September 12, 2014) — Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new, expanded branch in Sonoma with a special grand opening event on Thursday, Aug. 28. Approximately 250 people attended, including local community leaders.

The event featured live music, refreshments and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by RCU President & CEO Brett Martinez, Sonoma Mayor Tom Rouse and interim Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO Chip Allen. RCU also held several prize drawings, including a grand-prize raffle for $1,000.

“We’re excited about our new location which allows us to better serve the needs of our Members in a more comfortable and convenient space,” said Jose Alvarez, RCU’s Sonoma Branch Manager.

The new branch is located at 500 W. Napa Street in the same shopping center as its former location, and features a larger, more comfortable Member service space, a “tech bar” with mobile and online banking access, a 24-hour ATM, a children’s activity area and other enhancements.
