Registration open for the 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference

WASHINGTON, DC (September 19, 2023) — Registration is now open for the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). The annual conference will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., and online, March 3 – 7, 2024.

“This event will be essential in elevating the credit union movement not only in 2024, but well into the future as we harness the combined power of national associations, state leagues, credit unions, and system supporters,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “As we meet industry headwinds straight on, it’s more important than ever to meet with policymakers face-to-face. We need to build on our recent successes and pave the way for a bold advocacy strategy in the future.”

The conference will feature a wide range of can’t-miss speakers, informational breakout sessions, and networking opportunities designed to help credit unions advance their communities and improve financial well-being for all.

GAC is the credit union industry’s largest advocacy event bringing together thousands of leaders to rally around a united cause: to advocate for policies to better serve members and tailor services to meet the needs of their local communities.

This registration announcement coincides with the open voting period for the proposed merger of Credit Union National Association (CUNA) with the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU). Should the merger take place, the GAC will be the first event hosted by the combined entity, America’s Credit Unions, where all member credit unions will have the opportunity to participate.  More information will be provided in due course.
