Reliant Federal Credit Union hosts Color Me Hungry 5K Run/walk to benefit The King’s Portion

DOUGLAS, WY (August 5, 2014) — Reliant Federal Credit Union is hosting the Color Me Hungry 5K run/walk to combat hunger in Converse County. The event, being held September 13 at Keith Rider Park in Douglas, will benefit The Kings Portion food pantry.

“The Kings Portion serves a vital need in our community and Reliant Federal Credit Union is proud to support their efforts,” said Demetra Kidd Branch Manager for Reliant FCU in Douglas. “This event will be a lot of fun and will help make sure that the organization is well-stocked to serve those who need their assistance.

The goal of the fun, non-timed, family friendly race is to be covered in color by the end. Discounted entry fees of only $25.00 per person will be offered until Aug. 22. After that, the fee to enter will be $30. Registration information can be found here.

“Whether or not they are a runner, everyone can get involved in the Color Me Hungry event,” said Kidd. “If you’re not running, you can throw color on those who are. Either way, you’ll still be helping to make a positive impact in our community.”

The race is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 13. Following the race, Reliant Federal Credit Union will sponsor a BBQ in the park along with fun for the whole family including bouncy houses, face painting, and Lazarus the Magician.

About Reliant Federal Credit Union
Reliant Federal Credit Union serves any individual who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Natrona or Converse counties, or any close relative or household member of any existing Reliant FCU member. Reliant Federal Credit Union was established in Casper Wyoming in 1936 during the height of the Great Depression. At that time, few families could obtain affordable credit, and trust in banks was at an all-time low. As a financial institution owned by its members, our goal at that time—and today—was to bring affordable financial services to members, and help them fulfill their dreams.

Today, Reliant has expanded to serve more than 11,000 members in both Natrona and Converse Counties with four branches, and a broad array of electronic services to help you manage your money anytime, from anywhere. For more information, visitwww.reliantfcu.com.
