Robins Federal Credit Union blood drive saves over 80 lives

WARNER ROBINS, GA (January 28, 2014) — The American Red Cross collected 29 pints of blood from Robins Federal Credit Union employees, members, and members of the community at a blood drive held on Wednesday, January 15th at Robins Federal Credit Union.

Each unit of blood has the ability to save up to three lives. That means the blood collected at Robins Federal Credit Union’s semiannual blood drive has the potential to save 87 lives.

The American Red Cross recently issued a state of emergency notice due to dwindling blood supplies. Natural disasters across the state of Georgia have contributed to the low supply. To find a donation location, please visit the American Red Cross website.
