Rochdale continues to expand risk management capabilities with addition of Strategy, Risk and Assurance Partner and apogee iQ software developer

OVERLAND PARK, KS (March 9, 2023) — Professional advisory services and software firm Rochdale announces the expansion of its risk services and software development teams following the addition of two new resources.  These new personnel will propel Rochdale to continue its growth trajectory and enable the firm to make an even greater impact on the credit union industry. Rochdale believes that nothing is more foundational to credit unions than effective risk management. Central to that belief is building a team of passionate experts able to deliver innovative solutions to today’s challenges.

David Seibert: Strategy, Risk and Assurance Partner

Rochdale is excited to welcome David Seibert Consulting and RGS Business Advisors into the Rochdale fold. David Seibert, president and owner of the firms, joins the Rochdale team and brings a wealth of risk-related knowledge, a wide range of industry and corporate experience, and a strong contingent of existing credit union clients. In addition to David’s extensive time working alongside natural person credit unions and corporate credit unions, Seibert has tremendous experience working in ERM advisory, strategy, information security and cyber risk management outside the credit union space. Although he has spent the last several years consulting within the credit union industry as president, owner and chief risk officer at David Seibert Consulting, his broad and vast experience both within and outside the credit union space will help expand Rochdale’s risk and strategy solutions and enhance credit unions’ risk programs.

Seibert brings almost 25 years of risk management and information security to the Rochdale team. Many of his early years were spent working in various risk-focused information security roles such as his Senior Group Manager position with Target Corporation where he was leading Enterprise Information Risk Management, Incident Response/Computer Investigations/Digital Forensics, and Security Metrics and Reporting teams, and was part of Target’s Key Management Group (KMG). Since that time, Seibert has also served as Vice President Enterprise Risk Management and Strategy Execution and Chief Risk Officer at a $4 billion credit union, as well as on the Enterprise Risk Management Committee of a large corporate credit union.

“In addition to my expertise in enterprise risk management, cyber risk, and information security, I also have a passion for strategic planning and strategy execution.” Seibert said. “I’m excited for this opportunity to work with, help support and expand Rochdale’s enterprise risk management and strategic advisory services. Rochdale is a known industry expert in ERM and a perfect fit for how I desire to continue my career.”

Jason Shalton: Software Application Developer

Rochdale also welcomes Jason Shalton to the Rochdale and apogee iQ team. Shalton joins the apogee iQ development team following 10 years in a fast-paced software development environment in which he was instrumental in building and enhancing software and online tools for a nationwide real estate appraisal management company.  His experience working with one of the industry’s top technology leaders will be instrumental as Rochdale continues to invest in and expand the apogee iQ risk software suite.

Prior to his time in software development, Shalton spent many years in the U.S. and abroad teaching and leading students through guitar lessons, recitals and events.

The additions of Seibert and Shalton follow multiple key new hires during Rochdale’s strategic repositioning within the credit union industry. In addition to its risk advisory services and software suite, Rochdale continues to make positive contributions to the credit union industry and individual credit unions through ongoing risk training, certifications, institutes and overall support of credit union initiatives.

These strategic additions of new talent ultimately strengthen Rochdale’s operations and the continued expansion of its risk-intelligent offerings. “David and Jason bring a high level of expertise and experience, which are crucial assets to our team as Rochdale continues its rapid growth trajectory across the industry,” said Rochdale CEO Tony Ferris. “We are focused on finding ways to help credit unions thrive in this rapidly changing environment. Our mission is to help credit unions grow through the delivery of actionable intelligence. Our team is at the center of our purpose and continually adding top-notch talent is critical to us delivering on our promise to clients.”
