Rogue Credit Union presents local hospital with $205,000

MEDFORD, OR (December 21, 2023) — On Wednesday, December 20, Rogue Credit Union leaders visited the new pavilion at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center to present a check for $205,000 and gift two ride-on vehicle toys to some of Asante’s young patients and their families.

The donation includes funds raised throughout 2023 by Rogue Credit Union members and team members. This contribution is part of Rogue Credit Union’s long-term commitment to support the Pediatrics Unit in the Olsrud Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Asante Rogue Regional, which will open in February 2024.

“The continued generosity of our members inspires all of us,” said Matt Stephenson, president and CEO of Rogue Credit Union. “Living, giving and supporting local is what we do, and spending time with the incredible families we met today is a great reminder of why we do this work.”

Pediatric patients Everleigh (18 months) and Aeriana (age 5) each received ride-on vehicle toys as a special holiday gift. Both families rely on Asante’s Pediatric Oncology & Infusion Department for regular care. Making sure this kind of care is available for the region is the inspiration behind Rogue Credit Union’s longstanding support of Asante, which spans three decades.

“Rogue Credit Union is a leader in our region – their efforts to engage the community and their members are vital to Asante’s ability to provide the highest level of care to kids from our region. It’s a values-driven strategic partnership,” said Andrea Reeder, SVP and chief philanthropy officer for Asante. “But seeing the joy on the faces of the patients and their siblings today – this is the heart of the matter – making life better for kids and families facing illnesses that no one should have to face.”

This year’s fundraising efforts have been the most successful to date, and the donation includes a $5,000 Miracle Match from Co-Op Financial Services. Rogue Credit Union is proud to support the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Asante Rogue Regional, and extends a special thanks to its members and team members, whose support made this gift possible.
