San Diego County Credit Union is named Brand of the Year
SDCCU recognized by SDX for brand-building efforts in the advertising and marketing industry
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 24, 2014) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has been recognized by San Diego’s advertising and marketing industry with its Brand of the Year award in the second annual Brand Diego awards, an awards program that recognizes outstanding San Diego brands and the marketing and advertising professionals who build those brands.
Presented by SDX, formerly known as the San Diego Advertising Club, the Brand Diego awards draw entries from marketing agencies and companies from throughout San Diego County. The awards were presented on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Awards were presented in 16 categories, including Brand of the Year, Emerging Brand of the Year, Brand Professional of the Year, Agency of the Year, Agency Professional of the Year, Media Company of the Year, Media Professional of the Year, Industry Affiliate of the Year, Multi-Cultural Marketing Visionary Brand of the Year, Multi-Cultural Marketer of the Year, Cause Marketer of the Year, Corporate Responsibility of the Year, Leadership Award, Young Achiever Award, Media Talent of the Year and Innovator of the Year. Judges included local, respected corporate and community leaders from a variety of industries representing different business sectors who may not have a direct relationship with the local advertising industry.
SDCCU was previously named a finalist for Brand of the Year at the 2013 Brand Diego awards when the San Diego Zoo was selected for the award. In 2011, SDCCU was named as one of San Diego’s top 100 most enduring brands for the past 100 years of San Diego history.
