San Diego County Credit Union opens convenient location in North Park
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 13, 2014) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, opened its 33rd branch in San Diego’s North Park area. The location occupies the first floor of a high-rise office building at 3180 University Ave. Ste. 100, dubbed the “sdccu.com Tower.”
“We are excited about our new North Park branch. It enhances our market-leading position and provides a convenient location for a large number of customers in the area to attain breakthrough banking products,” said Teresa Halleck, SDCCU president and CEO.
SDCCU hosted the branch grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 22. Among the attendees were: George Chamberlin, financial journalist and host of SDCCU “Managing Your Money” seminars held at SDCCU’s administrative offices; members of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce; and the SDCCU board of directors. Attendees were introduced to the building’s unique exterior lighting display designed to embrace North Park’s Art District and rightfully so with the Forbes Magazine designation as one of America’s Top Hippest Hipster neighborhoods. Interim Mayor Todd Gloria was first to turn on the building’s unique lighting in a special ceremony last month.
The new branch offers loan and new account stations, teller stations, an exterior ATM and convenient hours. The branch will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free parking for customers is located in the back of the building.
