San Francisco Federal Credit Union hosts international credit union delegates
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 21, 2015) — San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, hosted several delegates from the National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK), as well as the Singapore National Co-Operative Federation (SNCF) as a part of the World Credit Union Conference that was held in Denver, Colorado.
Three delegates from the NACUFOK visited San Francisco FCU’s Main Branch on Golden Gate Avenue on July 7th. Dr. Chul-Sang Moon, the NACUFOK Chair and President, Mr. Dowon Kim, Assistant to Chair, and Boaz Heejoon Park, International Relations Officer, spent the day at the Credit Union touring the branch, meeting with San Francisco FCU’s Strategic Leadership Team, and enjoying a demonstration from the Korean Martial Arts Center of San Francisco.
Also in attendance were, Diana Dykstra, President and CEO of the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, who gave an update on the leagues, as well as San Francisco FCU Board Member, Carol Sam.
Late in the month, on July 17th, eighteen delegates from SNCF visited San Francisco FCU and enjoyed a performance by acoustic/classical guitarist, Scott Feichter of the SF Community Music Center. A representative of the Singapore Consulate of SF, Christopher Cheung, also joined the meeting, along with the Strategic Leadership Team, and Board Member, Carol Sam.
