Santa Clarita welcomes new Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union Branch
(March 5, 2014) — Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union (LAPFCU) is pleased to announce that it has opened a new branch in Santa Clarita as of February 18, 2014. The official Grand Opening on March 3 was attended by members of the LAPD, LAPFCU, the LAPFCU Board of Directors as well as guests from the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce.
Located on Golden Valley Road, the branch is convenient to LAPFCU members both in Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley.
“We’re excited to give our members—and future members—the branch they’ve been hoping for,” says Chief Executive Officer G. Michael “Mike” Padgett. “We look forward to getting to know our Santa Clarita neighbors and being a positive force in the community.”
The full-service, walk-in branch features an innovative design that’s new to the credit union, and focuses on member convenience. The Santa Clarita branch will be open Monday through Saturday.

LAPFCU has high hopes for the branch and for recruiting new members. Currently, LAPFCU membership is available to employees of Los Angeles County or municipal police departments or commissions (including commissioners or sheriff’s offices) as well as authorized non-profit foundations organized for the benefit and support of those employees. Membership is also offered to retirees from qualifying departments, commissions or foundations.
Family is welcome, too. “Once one qualified member joins LAPFCU, then that person’s immediate family is eligible to join,” explains Padgett. “We’re excited to get welcome new members in Santa Clarita and to help them with all of their financial plans.”
