Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual "Save More Thoughtfully" promotion at Marshall High School (MHS), which resulted in a $300 donation to MHS’s Links and Nexus programs.
Throughout the promotion, MCCU members at the high school were encouraged to make deposits at the CU in School branch, with MCCU matching deposits up to $25. The combined efforts of students and staff led to a meaningful contribution that will directly benefit these important peer-support programs.
“This donation makes a real impact on our students,” said Samantha McClusky, Special Education Teacher at MHS. “The Nexus program fosters mentorship between students, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Seeing the students come together to support this effort is truly inspiring.”
MCCU’s Financial Education Specialist, Laura Van Dyke, emphasized the significance of this annual initiative. “This promotion is always a highlight of the year because it not only encourages students to develop strong saving habits but also reinforces the power of giving back to their peers,” she shared.
