Sb1 creates “Be Bold” art for charity

Philadelphia, PA (June 9, 2015) — In an effort to demonstrate creativity with one of Sb1’s internal corporate values, “Be Bold”, Sb1 Federal Credit Union encouraged staff members at each of its branch locations to create canvas art.

Each of the 14 participants representing their branch received a painting canvas and a palette of paints to begin their work of art.

Once each of the artists was done, an art show was scheduled at the corporate offices, complete with sparkling cider, cheese, crackers, and artistic insights. All staff members were invited, along with the artists.

“We gave everyone the opportunity to vote for their favorite “Be Bold” works of art and we all appreciated their display of creativity,” recalls Rob Werner, Sb1 Federal Credit Union President and CEO. “The top winner received a catered lunch for their branch.”

All of the art was then auctioned internally and all of the proceeds of the art auction went to EducationWorks, an organization that Sb1 supports with financial education workshops, with a match of up to $25 on each painting from Sb1. In total, Sb1 helped raise $644 for EducationWorks which will allow 4 families to send their children to camp.
