SC Telco Federal Credit Union to Partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County
At a recent employee retreat, SC Telco Federal Credit Union announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County to build a home. As a sign of this commitment, SC Telco donated $31,000 toward the goal of completing a house in Greenville County by the summer of 2013. The remaining funds will be raised by the employees and members of the credit union.
Terri Hendrix, Community Relations Manager for SC Telco said, “When we looked around at all the worthy organizations to partner with, Habitat for Humanity just seemed like a perfect fit with our Core Values. Both organizations follow the philosophy of ‘giving a hand up’ to our neighbors in the community who need affordable housing for their families. We are proud to be a part of this life chang-ing experience!”
SC Telco Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1935 and is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with over 40,000 members who hold $235 million in assets. Headquartered in Greenville, SC, the credit union has branches in Easley, Spartanburg, Columbia and Florence.
