SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in California and the largest serving school employees and their families, helped raise awareness for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) through participation in CHLA’s Make March Matter, the Walk & Play L.A. annual event and a “T-Shirt for Kids Fridays” fundraiser for team members.
In June, SchoolsFirst FCU team members and their families participated in CHLA Walk & Play L.A. at the Santa Monica Pier, helping to raise critical funds supporting CHLA’s mission of creating hope and building healthier futures for children.
In March and April, SchoolsFirst FCU Members contributed to the Make March Matter Bigsby Butterfly Campaign, held in SchoolsFirst FCU branch locations in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. For a $15 donation, Members received a plush butterfly named Bigsby. SchoolsFirst FCU team members also supported the cause, donating through the Bigsby Butterfly Campaign, “T-Shirt for Kids Fridays,” or the CHLA Walk & Play L.A. event. All donations directly benefited CHLA.
“SchoolsFirst FCU has a long-standing partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), the charity of choice for credit unions,” said Bill Cheney, chief executive officer at SchoolsFirst FCU. “CHLA meets the critical need of providing pediatric care for children and their families in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas and we’re proud to support this important cause that is vital to our communities.”
