Scott Credit Union selects Val Rhoden-Kimbrough as Chief Human Resources Officer

EDWARDSVILLE, IL (July 29, 2021) — Scott Credit Union is pleased to announce that Val Rhoden-Kimbrough has been named Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), a newly created role within the credit union’s executive team.

Val Rhoden-Kimbrough possesses extensive experience in strategic human resources leadership with a focus in talent acquisition; organizational development; total rewards; employee engagement; and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She previously held the position of the Chief Human Resources Officer for the LCMS International Center and spent 13 years with U.S. Bancorp in the position of Vice President of Human Resources. In addition to her professional experience, Rhoden-Kimbrough earned her Master of Arts in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Webster University. She also holds the Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional certification (SHRM SCP).

The Chief Human Resources Officer position is a newly created role at Scott Credit Union. As CHRO, Rhoden-Kimbrough will oversee the effective design and execution of SCU’s human resources strategies. Areas of focus will include: culture; employee compensation and benefits; and talent assessment and development. Departments under her purview include Human Resources Administration, Learning & Development, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
