BROCKTON, MA (December 2, 2022) — November 13th marked World Kindness Day and SCU Credit Union celebrated all week long with acts of kindness in the local community.
On Monday, November 14th, SCU Credit Union President/CEO Glenn Parsons traveled to several grocery stores and surprised shoppers by handing out over $3,500 in gift cards to people he met in the aisles. The Credit Union also ran a giveaway on Facebook where six entrants were randomly selected to win a $150 grocery store gift card.
SCU Credit Union also donated $6,000 to local non-profit organizations. Parsons explained, “Giving back to the communities we serve is a core value at SCU Credit Union. With that in mind, we felt it was important to celebrate World Kindness Day.”
