Second Annual We’ve Got Your Back – One Backpack at a Time
DuPage Credit Union Fundraiser for DuPage County Students.
NAPERVILLE, IL (April 20, 2015) — DuPage Credit Union has once again partnered with the DuPage Regional Office of Education to launch its second annual We’ve Got Your Back fundraiser to help raise funds to purchase basic school supplies for DuPage County students in need.
“Our goal is to double what we raised last year,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions. “So we have set our goal at $20,000 to help 1,000 of the nearly 5,000 local students who need assistance.”
“Although a backpack and supplies, may not seem like much, to many kids in our communities and their families, it’s a much-needed helping hand at what can be a very expensive time of year.”
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks and basic supplies needed throughout the school year, such as paper, pencils, erasers, calculators, etc.
The backpacks will be given to local students attending the Back-to-School Fair in August at the Odeum in Villa Park.
