SECU highlights upcoming 100th anniversary of N.C. state parks in statewide appreciation ad

RALEIGH, NC (June 8, 2015) — In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of North Carolina’s State Parks, State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) is proud to highlight the parks and honor those providing park services to our citizens. An appreciation advertisement will run June 8th-12th in local community newspapers statewide.  The ad features one park in each of the four North Carolina regions – Western, Central, Eastern and Coastal – giving a glimpse of the scenic landscapes and amenities available through the park system.

“SECU has the privilege of serving North Carolina’s state employees as their financial cooperative, and we are thankful for their dedication and the services they provide to us all.  Our state parks are an incredible resource and the Centennial anniversary provides an excellent opportunity to highlight the more than 40 sites across the state.  We encourage citizens to visit and enjoy the beautiful parks,” stated Sandra Jones, SECU’s Senior Vice President of Member Communications.

“We are very grateful for the valuable support State Employees’ Credit Union and its membership is lending us for our Centennial.  The advertisement will help build public awareness and support for a major statewide milestone,” said Michael Murphy, Director of the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation.
