Secured Advantage FCU Joins Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to Raise Funds for GHS Children’s Hospital

Greenville, SC – Secured Advantage Federal Credit Union (SAFCU) has pledged to join the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to raise funds for a project planned for the GHS Children’s Hospital. The project consists of renovation of the existing Children’s Hospital lobby and entrance, and is slated to begin in 2013. Once complete, the space will be more colorful and child-friendly and house interactive games and toys, as well as an existing fish tank – a common element seen throughout all GHS Children’s Hospital facilities.

“We’re excited to join with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation and other credit unions throughout  South Carolina to help with this project” said Betty Rigdon, CEO of Secured Advantage Federal Credit Union. “GHS Children’s Hospital is an organization that has touched the lives of many of our staff and members, and will continue to do so well into the future” Rigdon said. In honor of International Credit Union Day SAFCU asked members to make individual contributions to this project. So far SAFCU members have contributed $1,968 to this project. The fundraiser will continue throughout the fall, and SAFCU will match dollar for dollar the funds contributed to this project by it’s members up to $10,000.
