Security First Federal Credit Union celebrates new branch in Pharr, Texas

EDINBURG, TEXAS (May 11, 2023) — Security First Federal Credit Union, the largest homegrown credit union in the Rio Grande Valley, celebrated the official opening of its Pharr Branch located at 1218 W. Dicker Road, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration on May 5, 2023.

Board members, and employees of Security First Credit Union, were joined by the Pharr Greater Chamber of Commerce, Pharr City officials, Valley View High School JROTC and Mariachi Band, and member-owners from the Pharr-San-Juan-Alamo community. The celebration included the Presentation of Colors and Mariachi music from Valley View High School, a taco truck from Q’in It Up BBQ, aguas frescas and virgin margaritas from The Snack Stop Diner, a cruise vacation certificate giveaway, and special promotions.

“We are excited to be back home in Pharr. Our commitment to the community and serving the Rio Grande Valley is the foundation on which we are built. Our roots run deep in the Valley – we are the Valley – and we will continue serving our member-owners and the community in the tradition of Always Family, Always First.”
