The Security Service Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to Transplants for Children. This donation will help the San Antonio-based organization in its mission to provide basic care resources to children receiving transplants.
“We believe that through early intervention of support services, education training, patient navigation services and crisis support, long-term re-hospitalizations and extraordinary costs can be prevented,” said Diana D. Kendall, executive director for Transplants for Children. “This $5,000 donation will help us continue to provide for these children and their families through our variety of services.”
The Security Service donation will help with several programs within the organization. The Family Emergency Assistance Program offers financial assistance for families, Pediatric to Adult Care Transition (PACT) Support Program provides transition services, and Family Counseling Services provides family counseling services.
“The support Transplants for Children provides can be lifesaving,” said Michael Oliver, vice president of specialty default for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “We’re pleased to support an organization with an incredible mission that continues to impact families facing the same obstacles.”
Transplants for Children assists children and their families to master the lifelong challenges of pediatric transplantation.
The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
