Security Service Charitable Foundation presents $25K donation to Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (November 21, 2013) — The Security Service Charitable Foundation recently selected the Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado as the recipient of a $25,000 donation. Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) representatives, Jim Laffoon, president (center), and Rick Weber, senior vice president of member service (right), presented the check on behalf of the Foundation to David Loose, president and CEO of Junior Achievement (left).

The funds will assist the organization in its efforts to create a JA BizTown in Colorado Springs that will teach fifth-grade students how to run a financial institution, manage a restaurant, promote their business on social media, produce TV commercials, write checks and vote in their community. The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps to further SSFCU’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union’s market areas.
