Shred it & Forget it at LAFCU!

Glendale, CA (August 26, 2025) |

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9am to 1pm, Los Angeles Federal Credit Union is hosting a “Shred it & Forget it” paper shred & e-Waste event at their Glendale, CA branch (300 South Glendale Avenue). Bring any un-needed documents (like tax statements, receipts & bills) and watch it get securely shredded into confetti in a shred truck at the branch.

LAFCU will also securely dispose of any e-Waste you bring, including old computers & accessories, printers, scanners, phones, CDs, & flatscreen monitors. 

Special Raffle!

Anyone who visits the branch on Sept 13 can enter a raffle (no purchase necessary) to win one of three $200 gift cards. Winners chosen on Mon. 9/16 and will be contacted via email and phone.

On September 13, you can fight identity fraud by visiting LAFCU and letting them securely shred your sensitive and/or unwanted documents, and get rid of e-Waste cluttering your home or office.

LAFCU was founded in 1936 by 13 Los Angeles, California City Employees to give employees a safe, low-cost, and convenient source to borrow and save money. They gathered $65 to form the “Los Angeles City Employees Federal Credit Union.” In 1987, the name changed to Los Angeles Federal Credit Union to reflect a growing field of membership, which started to include immediate family members of City employees and individuals who lived in the same household as a current member.
