STRATFORD, CT (June 23, 2026) |
With summer right around the corner, Sikorsky Credit Union is helping local children gear up for camp season through a donation of string backpacks to Sterling Community Center’s camp program.
The Backpacks will be distributed to campers and used throughout the summer to carry daily necessities during camp activities, field trips, and outdoor adventures.
"The time has come for sunscreen, splash pads, and popsicles, and with Sterling Day Camp starting soon, Sikorsky Credit Union has once again generously donated backpacks that our campers will use to carry their essentials safely through their day at camp,” said Amanda Meeson, Executive Director, Sterling Community Center. “Sikorsky's team supports Sterling Community Center year-round, from food drives to holiday toy donations, and we're so grateful for their commitment to our community and to helping our campers have a great summer."
The backpack donation is part of Sikorsky Credit Union’s continued partnership with Sterling Community Center and its ongoing efforts to support local youth and families through community outreach initiatives throughout the year.
“Summer camp creates opportunities for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories, and we’re proud to play a small part in that experience,” said Whitney Cadett, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Growth at Sikorsky Credit Union. “Our partnership with Sterling Community Center reflects our shared commitment to supporting families in the communities we serve and helping children start the summer with confidence and excitement.”
