Solarity announces scholarship winners

YAKIMA, WA (July 9, 2015) — Solarity Credit Union awarded five students with scholarships for their academic and community achievements. They are: Theresa Barney, Jacob Stucki, Shavali Dave, Sy Ruiz and Diana Tran.

Barney graduated from Wapato High School and will be attending Brigham Young University-Idaho, where she will study nursing.

Jacob Stucki graduated from West Valley High School and will be attending Brigham Young University. He is also interested in specialized nursing.

Shavali Dave graduated from the University of Illinois-Chicago and will be attending Heritage University. Shavali seeks to work in primary medical care in underserved communities.

Sy Ruiz graduated from Davis High School and will be attending the University of Washington. He is an aspiring business owner and plans to run for a state legislative position in the future.

Diana Tran graduated from University of Washington and will be attending Heritage University with plans to pursue a health-care career.
