Sound Credit Union reveals 2025 scholarship recipients

TACOMA, WA (August 15, 2025) |

Sound Credit Union (Sound) is proud to honor the recipients of its 2025 scholarships for the 2025/26 academic year. This year, Sound granted $20,000 in total to 13 recipients who were selected based on their academic achievements, community  involvement, and commitment to furthering their education. 

The following students were awarded a Sound scholarship and plan to attend these  colleges/universities in the fall:  

  • Annika Ewing, Washington State University 
  • Jonah Bergerson, University of the Pacific 
  • Brock Blakley, Arizona State University 
  • Gracie Tomlinson, Utah Valley University 
  • Kamea Herrera, Coe College 
  • Margarita Aguado, University of Washington 
  • Ruby Pearson, Pierce College 
  • Hannah Quiton, Pacific Lutheran University 
  • Leiana Pablo, University of Washington 
  • Victoria Street, University of Washington 
  • Joshua Schwalier, Washington State University 
  • Jett Reed, Gonzaga University 
  • Caleb Carbonell, Northwest University 

“I’m truly honored to have been awarded this scholarship,” said Jonah Bergerson. “This  opportunity means a great deal to me, and it will be a tremendous help as I pursue my  college education.”
