TACOMA, WA (January 13, 2026) |

Sound Credit Union (Sound) recently welcomed Ian Crawford as their  Business Lending Production Manager. Based in Bellingham, Washington, Crawford will  focus on supporting businesses throughout the broader northern Puget Sound region. Crawford has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with the majority of his  career focused on commercial real estate and industrial lending. Previously, he held roles  with Columbia Bank and most recently WaFd Bank, where he served as Director of  Commercial Banking.

“We’re thrilled to have Ian join our team. He brings a wealth of experience and has built his  career around strengthening relationships with business owners,” said Lyman Williams, EVP Chief Lending Officer at Sound Credit Union. “We believe Ian’s knowledge, leadership and  natural ability to build connections will help carry us forward as we continue to serve our  business members and communities. We’re excited about the energy and engagement he  will bring to our existing relationships, as well as the role he will play in growing our business  throughout the northern Puget Sound region and across our entire footprint.

In this role at Sound, Crawford will focus on building strong relationships with local business  owners and their teams, providing tailored lending solutions designed to promote growth  and contribute to a thriving local economy. His addition to the team underscores Sound’s  commitment to business lending and its dedication to ensuring businesses have access to  the financial tools and services needed to grow and succeed.

Sound Credit Union is recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a  Preferred SBA Lender, giving the credit union the ability to quickly underwrite and approve  loans for Washington businesses. In 2025, Sound funded more SBA loans than any other  credit union in the state, and with a business loan portfolio approaching $1 billion, the  organization expects continued growth under Crawford’s leadership.
