Southern Select Community Credit Union donates portion of loan proceeds to local schools

KANNAPOLIS, NC (August 18, 2014) — For each auto loan opened at Southern Select Community Credit Union in August or September, a portion of the loan amount will be donated to the member’s Kannapolis City School or Cabarrus County School of choice.

“We’re very proud of our students and local schools,” said Huyla Jackson, Southern Select CEO. “And so we’re excited to be able to offer this promotion as a way of giving back to our community in the coming school year.”

Southern Select Community Credit Union will donate 0.50% of all auto loan amounts on new and used vehicles, as well as vehicles refinanced from another financial institution. The loans must remain open with SSCCU through the end of 2014 to be eligible.

Rates for the new auto loans are as low as 1.75% APR (Annual Percentage Rate) and are available to credit union members only. Membership is open to all those who live, work, worship or attend school within fifty miles of Kannapolis.
